Checking premiums with GengMak needs only your car details and how to reach you. You don't send any documents at this stage. Have the details below ready and the form takes a few minutes.
Online quotes are for privately used cars registered to an individual with no modifications or non-factory accessories, such as a high roof or lowered suspension. If you use your car commercially or it has changes like these, message our team on LINE for a quote.
Documents come in when you decide to buy. Usually that means details from the registration book and the policyholder. A named-driver plan also needs the driving licence details of each named driver, and some insurers or plans ask for photos of the car for an inspection before cover starts.
Insurers price the risk they see in the car, the drivers and the plan you choose. Each insurer weighs these factors differently, so the same car can get very different premiums from different insurers. These are the main factors.
Compulsory motor insurance (PRB, พ.ร.บ.) is priced separately from voluntary insurance. The registrar sets its rate by vehicle type and use, so every insurer charges the same PRB premium.
The premiums you see after the form are for a privately used car, based on the make, model, sub-model, year and province you gave. The final premium is up to the insurer and may change once driver details or an inspection are added.
Once you send the form, this is what happens next.
If you're not ready to buy, you don't have to decide now. Keep the quote page link and come back later, but the premium may change with the insurer's terms on the day you buy.
The cheapest premium isn't always the best value. Two plans with similar premiums can cover very different things, so compare these together before you choose.
Not sure which type to pick? Type 1 gives your car the widest cover, including accidents with no other party, theft and fire. Flood depends on the plan: some Type 1 plans cap or exclude it, so check the flood limit in the quote and the policy. Type 2+ covers your car in a collision with an identified land vehicle, plus theft and fire. Type 3+ covers your car in a collision with an identified land vehicle, without theft and fire. Flood on Type 2+ and 3+ depends on the plan too, and every type covers your liability to third parties.
Electric cars have more to check, such as cover for the battery, charging cable and home charger, which depends on the plan and its add-ons. Fewer insurers and types of cover may be quoted for an electric car than for a petrol one.
